mus musculus

This often considered cute rodent affects humans across the globe transmitting disease, urinating wherever it runs and damaging building structures and wire cables occassionally causing fires or cutting communication services.

The house mouse lives alongside us in our homes and businesses. They will move from building to building and can be transported in goods.

Nowhere is beyond their habitation, all buildings can be affected at some point, underground stations, tower blocks, food factories, restaurants, high st shops, utility facilities, .

  • They deposit 40-60 droppings per day and their climbing ability is excellent.
  • They can gain access through a hole the size of a biro pen (10 mm)
  • Reproduction is rapid with potential multiplication of 2000 mice off 1 female in a year.

If you see one, there are likely many more.
